Ghanaian rapper Medikal has declared 2025 a year dedicated to himself and his own music, announcing he will not be taking on any feature collaborations.
In a recent interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, the “Ayekoo” hitmaker explained his decision, stating, “Next year I no go do features. Ego be very selfish year for myself because this year I did a lot of features.”
This declaration comes after a busy 2024 for Medikal, who collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Beeztrap KOTM, Kwesi Amewuga, Kofi Mole, Uncle Rich, and even dancehall king Shatta Wale.
This output suggests Medikal has been actively contributing to the Ghanaian music scene through collaborations.
Medikal also emphasized that the long-awaited collaboration with fellow rapper Eno Barony must happen this year, as 2025 is officially off-limits for features. This will likely excite fans who have been anticipating a track featuring the two prominent figures in Ghanaian hip-hop.
Medikal, known for his distinct flow and witty lyrics, rose to prominence in the mid-2010s with hits like “Confirm” and “Anthem.”
