Albert Nii Amartey Armah: The Artist Coordinator for Ghana’s 68th independence celebration in the UK

London witnessed a spectacular celebration of Ghana’s 68th Independence as the event unfolded at the Indigo at The O2, a renowned venue with a 2,800-seat capacity.

The grand occasion was a collaborative effort between three of the biggest Ghanaian event promoters—Akwaaba UK, West Coast UK, and Alordia Promotions—bringing together Ghanaian music lovers from all over the UK and beyond.

At the heart of the event’s success was Albert Nii Amartey Armah, the Artists Coordinator, whose expertise ensured a seamless lineup of performers. As the CEO of West Valley Multimedia Ltd, Armah has cemented his reputation as a key stakeholder in Ghana’s music and entertainment industry. His company specializes in artiste management, bookings, branding, promotions, and event marketing, making him a force to reckon with in showbiz.

The celebration was a true showcase of Ghanaian music and culture, with headline performances from R2Bees, Olive The Boy, and King Paluta. Adding to the excitement, D-Black made a surprise appearance, sending the crowd into a frenzy. Hosting the event was Kojo Manuel, one of Ghana’s most vibrant MCs, who kept the energy levels high throughout the night.

Beyond the performances, the event was a hub for Ghanaian entertainment industry players, as notable figures turned up in support of the celebration. The night was a non-stop playback of authentic Ghanaian music, creating an atmosphere that resonated with both Ghanaians and music lovers from different parts of the world.

Albert Nii Amartey Armah has become a household name in the UK’s Ghanaian entertainment space, having coordinated several high-profile events. His impressive portfolio includes, Ghana Party in the Park (2022, 2023, and 2024 editions), Ghana Party in the Park and Business Expo 2025, Kwabena Kwabena Live in London (2024)

With his expertise, Armah continues to play a pivotal role in promoting Ghanaian music and culture on an international stage.

Despite the overall success, one notable challenge was that some attendees arrived late and were denied entry due to venue rules regarding final admission times. As a result, organizers urge future attendees to carefully read event flyers for important details on start and finish times to avoid disappointment.

The event not only celebrated Ghana’s independence but also served as a platform to project Ghanaian music culture to the world. With an audience made up of diverse nationalities, it was a testament to the growing global appeal of Ghanaian music and talent.

Albert Nii Amartey Armah’s dedication and coordination skills were instrumental in the event’s success, further solidifying his position as one of the UK’s leading figures in Ghanaian entertainment.
